Mr. Robert Sturtz, the President of Slack Chemical, is a firm believer that education is not only a privilege but a necessity for advancement in life. Mr. Sturtz wants to make every opportunity available for his employee’s children and families to reach their goals.

We will not warehouse, blend, repackage, handle, transport, or dispose of product until the appropriate procedural steps have been taken to protect the health and safety of our employees, our customers, the community and the environment.

The measure of our success will continue to be determined by customer satisfaction and how well we satisfy those customers with on-time deliveries, quality products which meet our customer’s specifications, and packaging which meets or exceeds the appropriate standards. By meeting the above standards we can ensure the quality our customers expect and the safety of our employees, our customers, and the environment.

Slack Chemical believes in continuous improvement and employee involvement. Consequently, Slack Chemical became a member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) in 1989. The company received its NACD Third Party Verification Accreditation in 1998. The company also applied for ISO accreditation in 2000 and became certified in November 2000 through Underwriters Laboratories. These two well respected organizations require that the specific quality standards be met and documented, that there is continuous improvement, and that employees become involved in the day-to-day decision making. To this means. Slack Chemical conducts internal audits to ensure that we conduct our business according to our established procedures.
