Dr. William G. Crane, Jr

The Susan Pitzer Crane, LPN Nursing Scholarship was established in 2016 by her husband, Dr. William G. Crane, Jr. It is awarded to a single mother studying nursing who is also attending classes full-time and is in her second year of studies.

As a single mother of two young boys, Susan overcame adversity, and enrolled in the Knoedler School of Nursing in Ashtabula, Ohiio. After finishing the Licensed Practical Nurse Program (LPN), she served her entire career in nursing homes and extended care facilities. She is passionate about the advancement of nursing, and an advocate for the care of the elderly.
