Auxiliary of Mercy of Northern New York

The Auxiliary of Mercy of Northern New York Endowed Scholarship was established in 2013 by members of the Auxiliary of Mercy of Northern New York. This scholarship is to assist a student pursuing a nursing career who shows academic performance and financial need. It is offered to a student with a 2.8 grade point average, or equivalent.

Due to the closing of Mercy Care, the Auxiliary of Mercy of Northern New York was disbanded. Before disbanding, the members of the Auxiliary decided they wanted to keep the over 110 year legacy of Mercy Hospital alive by establishing an endowment scholarship in honor of Mercy nurses.

The Jefferson Community College Foundation is thankful to the Auxiliary of Mercy of Northern New York for establishing this scholarship and for supporting nursing students at JCC.
